One Killed, Nine Injured in French Knife Attack

An asylum seeker from Afghanistan was arrested after nine people were injured and one killed in Lyon, France. The suspect began their attack at a Subway station.

According to Police the suspect was a thirty-three year old Afghan citizen who had applied for asylum in France and was due for a response.

French authorities have made no comment regarding the assault; however, they did say that the assault was not terrorism related.

Last year, France experienced a a series of knife attacks. Also, authorities claimed that the attacks were not terrorism related, although ISIS claimed responsibility.
