On Sunday tragedy struck Freedom Ministries Church in Grandview, West Virginia. At approximately 12:58 am the Coal City Fire Department was dispatched to the local church because the building was on fire.

In the book of Daniel, God promises that regardless of our surroundings, through fire and trial He will be there to watch over us and protect us. Also, all across the Bible, God promises that His Word will prevail until the end of time.

On Sunday, amidst the flames, although the building was completely on fire, not a single Bible was burned. In fact, according to the Coal City Fire Department, at one point during their fight to defeat the flames, the fire was so hot that firefighters themselves had to back out entirely.

“Picture this, a building so hot that at one point in time, firefighters had to back out. In your mind, everything should be burned, ashes. Not a single Bible was burned and not a single cross was harmed!! Not a single firefighter was hurt! Prayers for the pastor and the congregation today,” the fire department wrote in a post on Facebook about the fire that destroyed the Freedom Ministries Church early Sunday morning.

The fire department was stunned at the occurrence, and later said; “Though odds were against us, God was not.”

After the fire, Freedom Ministries posted to their Facebook page; “We have a heavy heart this morning, our church had a fire last night. We will have to rebuild but we will be ok. We will fight the enemy and not let him hold us down…”

Though the fire raged on God’s Word did not burn, rather, as you can see below, the Bibles and Crosses remain, as does God’s promises that regardless of what trial you face or what fire you face, He will prevail through you.
