The United States trade delegation has arrived in Beijing, China to initiate trade talks in order to quell the need for increasing tariffs on imports and exports.

The Trump administration issued tariffs on certain goods pertaining to China because the Communist Nation was continually the subject of complaints from US-based and other international businesses.

The two leaders on December 1st, 2018 agreed to put off adding new tariffs on certain goods until both nations could discuss technology, intellectual property, and cyber threat issues.

U.S. officials have said that if the talks fail to produce a satisfactory agreement Washington will increase tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods from 10 percent to 25 percent.

Further, the US tariffs have had a significant effect on Beijing as is the reason for Xi Jinping’s assertion to resolve said issues before potentially increasing tariffs.
